“If the conditions with the coronavirus are stable, then the opening of the museum could be in the second half of the year,” Khaled El Anani said at the World Youth Forum. This manifestation is happening every year in the famous resort of Sharm El Sheikh.

The Egyptian Museum, which is still open in Tahrir Square after 120 years, contained 3,000 exhibits of this famous ruler of Ancient Egypt. Between them is the golden mask of Tutankhamun, and the rest stood in the basement.
A century after the discovery of the tomb by British archaeologist Carter, the Great Egyptian Museum will be opened. “We are celebrating 200 years of Egyptology and 100 years since the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in a large number of Egyptian institutions. Certainly, I believe that the best way to celebrate will be to open the Great Egyptian Museum,” El Anani added.
By the way, the cost that was determined at the beginning of the construction was up to $500 million. But the situation changes on a daily basis, and now it has reached $1 billion.
