Abgeschieden leben sie in Bookmarksgrove direkt an der K\u00fcste der Semantik, einem gro\u00dfen Ozean der Sprache. Ein kleiner Fluss namens Duden flie\u00dft an ihrem Ort vorbei und versorgt ihn mit den n\u00f6tigen Regeln. Es ist ein paradiesisches Land, in dem einem gebratene Satzteile in den Mund fliegen. Selbst der allm\u00e4chtige Zeigefinger hat keine Kontrolle \u00fcber die Blindtexte \u2013 es ist ein fast unorthographisches Leben. Eines Tages jedoch beschloss eine kleine Zeile Blindtext namens Lorem Ipsum, in die ferne Welt der Grammatik aufzubrechen. Der gro\u00dfe Oxmox riet ihr davon ab, denn dort g\u00e4be es Tausende von b\u00f6sen Kommas, wilden Fragezeichen und hinterlistigen Semikolons, aber der kleine Blindtext h\u00f6rte nicht zu. Sie packte ihre sieben Versalien ein, steckte ihren Anfangsbuchstaben in den G\u00fcrtel und machte sich auf den Weg. Als sie die ersten H\u00fcgel der Apenninen erreichte, warf sie einen letzten Blick zur\u00fcck auf die Skyline ihrer Heimatstadt Bookmarksgrove, die \u00dcberschrift von Alphabet Village und die Unterzeile ihrer eigenen Stra\u00dfe, der Zeilenstra\u00dfe. Eine rhetorische Frage, die Mitleid erregte, rann ihr \u00fcber die Wange, dann setzte sie ihren Weg fort. Unterwegs begegnete sie einer Kopie. Diese warnte den kleinen Blindtext, dass er dort, wo er herkam, tausendmal umgeschrieben worden w\u00e4re und von seinem Ursprung nur noch das Wort \u201eund\u201c \u00fcbrig geblieben w\u00e4re. Der kleine Blindtext solle umkehren und in sein sicheres Heimatland zur\u00fcckkehren.
